SWONE is an owner operated spa and is not managed by a third party or a spa management company as is the case with many spas and salons.

SWONE is the jewel in SW1 Luxury Guest Retreat's crown. It strives to deliver a harmonious diversion from the stresses and strains of everyday life. Offering a fusion of Western and African body & beauty treatments SWONE aims to maximise the therapeutic and rejuvenative effects of touch and massage together with specialised skin, body and facial treatments.

Situated in the exceptionally beautiful surrounds of SW1 Luxury Guest Retreat's estate, SWONE offers a serene oasis from the hectic pressures of the outside world. It's three treatment rooms are luxuriously equipped and furnished with sophisticated African undertones reminiscent of a by-gone era. No detail has been spared in ensuring the highest quality robes, linen, towels, amenities and products.

Our highly trained therapists love the work that they do and this is evidenced in every encounter with SWONE clients. They are skilful, knowledgeable and totally committed to making your every visit to SWONE a special and memorable one.

SWONE offers half day, full day and overnight spa packages and also routine appointment treatments. Whether you need a simple procedure or to be indulged with a multifaceted menu of treatments SWONE is your one and only choice if you wish to experience a superb outcome.

As part of the very exclusive SW1 Luxury Guest Retreat as a SWONE client you may enjoy the amenities that SW1 offers - 2 swimming pools, landscaped and manicured gardens, jacuzzi, sauna, refreshments and lunches and the choice of staying overnight in one of our 5 star suites.

Basic Rules

• SWONE spa is a no-shoe area and we request that shoes be removed prior to entering the salon area. You will be provided with a pair of slippers for the duration of your appointment.

• No mobile phones may be used in the salon.
• No children under 14 years of age may accompany you on your appointment.
• Appointments may only be made for youth 14 years and older
• We request that conversation be kept to a minimum and that you ensure that the serenity of other clients is not interfered with.

Catering for Women and Men

SWONE welcomes both women and men. Most of our treatments are suitable to both women and men. In addition we offer specialised facials and facial treatments for our male clients using the NIMUE range of men's products. Our therapists are also able to deliver massages according to the degree of pressure and strength requested by our clients.

We offer

• An intensive deep tissue massage in which a lot of pressure is applied and muscles and pressure points are vigorously but appropriately manipulated
• Medium intensity deep tissue massage in which medium pressure is applied but muscles will be energetically and appropriately worked
• Mild intensity massage where the objective is mainly for gentle muscle stimulation and relaxation

Your therapist will provide the treatment you request.

Catering for Youth

Due to the serenity we strive to maintain in our salon we restrict the age of our youth clients to 14 years and older. We will not accept younger children. Parents are required to sign a disclaimer before any treatments will be rendered on youth under 18 years of age.

We use the NIMUE YOUTH range of products for facial treatments. This is specifically designed to be gentle on young skins.

We believe in approaching our youth market with the objective of getting them to enjoy their visits to the spa and to introduce them to the importance of starting a beauty regimen in their early years before damage by the sun and pollution is caused. Youth today tend to be over scheduled, over stressed and at SWONE we aim to make their time spent with us pleasurable and entirely relaxing. Mother/daughter appointments are highly recommended as this is an ideal opportunity for mothers and daughters to share in a special experience and to bond. It is also an ideal opportunity for mothers to role model to their daughters the importance of taking care of oneself.

The same can be said for fathers and sons. Taking care of oneself is paramount regardless of our gender and teaching young men to take care of their appearance and the health of their bodies is nowadays not only acceptable but admired.
